RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The major goal of this first project in 2017 was breaking my own rules. I had only designed jewelry driven by architectural forms and I intentionally refused using stones. It was because I wanted to people to enjoy my design purely, not with price of stones. It was totally illogical. As a newcomer in this field, I should have had an open mind on all potential ways. For that reason, I wanted to start 2017 with a design I have never tried.
CHALLENGE: Since I started to learn designing jewelry in 2014, unconsciously, I had limited that my inspiration would only come from architectural forms. I realized it last year while arranging 3 years of my works. It may be because I went to college to major industrial design and my desire for being an architect. I had always tried to squeeze these elements in form of my designs no matter what. I needed to break the rule to understand my potential as a jewelry designer.
