RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This brochure is a gift to the world leaders. It is also a key to Hangzhou. Thus, we digged deep into the indigenous culture of Hangzhou to define what elements can best represent this lovely city. In conclusion, we determined that the most representing elements are, bridges, river, lake, boats, calligraphy, most importantly, the people. Therefore, we tried to illustrate these elements in an abstract way and served as the decorations within the brochure.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging effort within our design process was how to merge culture into a tiny booklet. This booklet not only needs to carry message, but an entire city's image inside.
