| DESIGN NAME: BlueBlackPurpleShine PRIMARY FUNCTION: Fashion collection INSPIRATION: My work inspiration includes: social interaction - from crowd to a person; people and their relationships; impacts of communication identity, personality, selfhood; personality's deep sides and masks, modern human needs for changes, transformation of personality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Concept is based on the idea of transformation. It is all about different sides of human personality. Each of us has it and these different sides appear in variant situations of life. All outfits of this collection are transformable and could be wearable in different ways - change yourself by outfit, or change your outfit by your mood. Blue - what we have in our deep self. Black - our dark side. Purple - what we have the brightest in ourselves. Shine - our expressions and masks. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: 3 months, Vilnius/ Lithuania FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Realization technology - sewing Materials - tricot, jersey silk, mesh, linnen, metalized linnen, impregnated coton, velvet, coton satin SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: transformation, transform, change, choose, transformable, social RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The hardest part in creative process was to find the the comfortable ways of clothes transformation. My chalange was to dicover unique transformation, but also to make it practical and usable. NAME: KRISTINA SVIDERSKAITE PROFILE: Kristina Sviderskaite Studio designs womenswear for sophisticated, stylish and modern woman. Each piece is built out of complex paneling and cleverly combined diferent fabrics. The use of contrasting colors and graphic lines, searching interesting shapes and miss matched fabrics is the individual charm of Kristina Sviderskaite creation inspired by social and the cultural influences around her. Kristina does not like the idea to offer so called “unique” pieces, produced in amounts of 20k, so each garment is made in a tiny production. The designs are not meant to be seasonal, many pieces are easily transferable and used across the seasons. Designer Kristina about her creation: „It’s a minimal, simple and casually wearable look that is all about individuality“. |
