DESIGN NAME: Gladiator
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Napkin holder
INSPIRATION: Rather than being afraid and backing away in the face of threats and tortures of the cruel people in my life, I chose fighting just like a fighter from the Middle Ages, like the way honor is glorified though injured in every battle. I felt I got stronger against the cruel. I tried to express these experiences of mine through creating a concrete product a napkin holder with the blend of flamboyant warrior mask.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The product is the napkin holder on the dinner table. The fact that the imperfections on the product are suitable with the soul of the product makes it unique. The fact which makes the product unique is that the imperfections on it suits the products soul. You can decorate your dinner table by using the gladiator.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Gladiator is a napkin holder on the table dinner. The product and the napkin complement each other just like a warrior in the battlefield. After all, a dinner table resembles a battle field and the napkin holder cleans that battle field.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Users today prefer healthy and natural materials on their dinner tables.
The napkin holder's appeal gains more importance since its period of daily function on the table does not exceed approximately ten minutes.
Due to the nature of the product, if produced perfectly solely with the help of the machine it attracts less attention. However, if it is hand-made, the imperfections make it look more sincere and thus attract the users more.
When the product users are content with the end-product, the price is not a big deal.
CHALLENGE: The obligation to have very limited cuts and details and to have it narrow so as to place the napkin into the product with one move was the most difficult part.
