| DESIGN NAME: LISTORM - LIQUID STORAGE ARMBAND PRIMARY FUNCTION: Liquid storage bracelet INSPIRATION: Water is an essential - especially when you are doing physical activities. I used to be a professional athlete and I am still running every day. The biggest problem for me was to carry water or other liquids with me without disturbing my running. Dehydration is the biggest enemy of an athlete - it reduces the performance and damages health. The portable liquid containers such as Camelbaks, flasks and fuel belts cause many problems: they are heavy, they make you sweat, they cause imbalance and you feel like your hands are tied. It was essential to create a tool which revolutionises the fluid intake during sports without causing imbalance in the rhythm of the athletes. This is how Listorm was born. Listorm is the solution for carrying liquid and drinking from your wrist without occupying your hand. You do not need to hold or grab anything with your fingers, the drink is on your wrist. Listorm becomes a part of your body increasing your body water homeostasis. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Listorm is a unique liquid container bracelet, which can store up to 2,4-deciliter fluid, that you can drink anytime. It will be a brand new and practical tool for sport and recreational activities. Listorm is lightweight and very easy to use and easy to refill. It is eco-friendly, almost all materials are recycled and the liquid container silicon pipe can be used more than 10.000 times. With its one-way shut-off valve the pressure inside Listorm remains the same until the last drop of liquid. Drinking the last sip out of the pipe with its special bite valve is just as easy as the first one. Using Listorm during your sport activities can free your hands and fingers when drinking. Listorm does not disturb your balance or rhythm. Listorm supplies you with fluid without disturbance. Listorm also makes your activities safer - it glows in the dark. Listorm is a brand new, unique, eco-friendly and sexy sport accessory which makes drinking during sports not only easier but the user healthier. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Using Listorm is very simple: after filling with water or any other liquid, just place it on your wrist. During sports just lift your wrist to your mouth and drink via the bite valve. With its one-way shut-off valve at the bottom the pressure inside Listorm remains the same until the last drop of liquid. Drinking the last sip out of the pipe with its special bite valve is just as easy as the first one. You do not need to hold or grab anything with your fingers, the drink is on your wrist. The competitors of Listorm cause many problems: they are heavy, make you sweat, cause imbalance and need your hand for drinking. With Listorm your hands are free. Listorm also glows in the dark - it looks awesome and also protects you against accidents. Listorm can be a part of your body increasing your body water homeostasis. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We wanted to create an eco-friendly and useful tool. Almost all Listorm materials are recycled and the liquid container silicon pipe can be used more than 10.000 times. Breathable strap ingredients: 74% Cotton, 11% Nylon, 11% Polyester, 3% Rubber, 1% Spandex The pipe is made of recycled silicon. Velcro rings are made of cotton nylon and polyester. Bite valve is made of Polypropylene (PP), Polyethylene (PE) and Styrene Ethylene Butadiene Styrene (SEBS) SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Listorm ingredients and specifications: width: 100 mm height: 130 mm length of the silicone pipe: 900– 950 mm total weight of the bracelet without liquid: 200 g total weight of the bracelet with liquid: 400 – 450 g Breathable strap ingredients: 74% Cotton, 11% Nylon, 11% Polyester, 3% Rubber, 1% Spandex TAGS: accessories, container, water, bracelet, liquid, sport, health, hydration, body water homeostasis RESEARCH ABSTRACT: When I experienced the lack of a proper liquid carrier accessory on my own I came up with the idea of Listorm. This was the first step then I started my comprehensive research with google keyword search for products like Listorm to ascertain the level of demand. The results showed that the market needs products like mine, people would like to carry water while doing sports. But my product I believe is better than the competitors. Listorm is unique: it is easy to run with, easy to use and not heavy. As phase 2., I asked my close friends and other athletes and other people via social media, created questionnaire because I think that it is the easiest way to find the focus groups. Thanks to my connections I had the opportunity to ask some professional sportsmen about their opinion. I found that they also have several problems and they are very open to new ideas. They agreed with me that Listorm can be the answer for their questions. The main target groups for my product are runners, tennis players, paragliders, rafting, nordic walker elder people, winter sporters etc. Listorm would be also a new marketing tool for soft and sports drinks manufacturers - this can be a new way of beverage storing. CHALLENGE: To word the idea in your head is the first step. Creating a design is the next and even much bigger step. To make it real is a long, hard, precise and detailed process. With Listorm we had to deal with the following instructions: we wanted to create a lightweight, eco-friendly, useful tool which is affordable for anyone. Its comfort and durability were also important. We wanted to design an eye-catching and sexy sports accessory which helps you to reach your best performance and even break your limits. To find the best materials for the main parts - we have tried countless various types for the pipe and also for the strap - and also for the tiny little parts were challenging too. We even had to design, invent, 3D print and build the special one-way shut-off valve, which opens the way for air at the bottom of the pipe but does not allow the liquid to escape. This unique item is the soul of Listorm which keeps the pressure inside Listorm the same until the last drop of liquid. At the end, the hardest part was the effective production preparation with keeping the final product's quality on a very high level. To make it visible at dark was just icing on the cake.
