| DESIGN NAME: Nereida PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chandelier INSPIRATION: We had the desire to create a chandelier in which each element, decorative or functional, is the subject of art. Taking into account the large size of the product, we tried to see in our project light and elegant construction with lots of small beautiful details. We also wanted to combine a classic look with modern materials, technologies and achievements in electronics and create a beautiful, high-quality and easy-to-use product. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This chandelier is handcrafted from stainless steel and crystal. The surface of the steel elements has a polished finish and gold color, which changes its color from light exposure. Eighty five thousand colored crystal beads decorate the chandelier, the color of which is chosen in harmony with the interior. Light sources are the design work. We used powerful LED chips, which are cooled by decorative radiators, which are handmade from copper and form a beautiful pattern in lampshades. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Thanks to the unusual design Nereida suits for both classic and ultramodern interior. The modular design makes it easy to transform the height and diameter of chandelier, and the change of color and length beads can change its final form in accordance with the color space around it. On the base of this project, is it possible create a collection of lighting objects, such as bright and emotional as the Nereida. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2015 and finished in December 2015 in Odessa, Ukraine.This is a private project. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Parts of chandelier are made of stainless steel tubes of different diameter. Details came out hollow and light, and we were able to hide the electrical cables inside. Before assembling all the metal parts have undergone special thermic treatment and get the gold color of the surface, which changes its color from morning till night in accordance with the spectral composition of daylight. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 1800mm x Depth 1800mm x Height 7400mm; Weight 340kg; Material stainless steel and cristal beads; Color gold; Light sources Cree low emitting diodes; Power consumption 300Watt; Luminosity 28000Lm TAGS: stainless steel, big, great, chandeller, handmade, handcrafted, inox, large, lighting, LED, cristal, beads RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Influence of thermal impacts on the formation of color envelopes on the stainless steel surface. The research results helped to create the noble golden color, which provided a possibility to use stainless steel in a classic interior. The dependence of the luminous efficiency of low emitting diode from the cooling quality and load factor. The obtained results allowed use the diode in the most favorable mode of work and create high-quality lighting system with low power consumption. CHALLENGE: We were not able to make a test assembly of chandelier because of its large size. All components were made intuitively and based only on a subjective evaluation of their interaction with one another. Another trouble was to develop a low-voltage lighting modules sufficient power that would have the desired appearance and were safe.
