| DESIGN NAME: H1 Series PRIMARY FUNCTION: Knives INSPIRATION: Cangshan is passionately focused on creating and offering products that perform flawlessly while speaking to the design conversations that are relevant to today's creative communities. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The H1 Series balances smooth contours and sharp, distinct angles against the backdrop of natural warm wood tones. Full textures serve to highlight the raw elements of professional caliber tools made for creatives. Flush seams ensure the durability of the knife while also allowing the handle to comfortably and naturally fit the chef’s grip. All three knives are forged, full tang and foundational in function. A genuine leather knife roll securely house the knives. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The quality and craftsmanship of the knives ensure they precisely and effectively perform their cutting functions giving the user a responsive and refined tactile experience that enhances and augments their skills and process. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Blades are forged from German sourced (Solingen) high alloy steel (X50CrMoV15) and heat treated and hardened to 58 +-2 on the Rockwell Hardness Scale giving the steel excellent wear and stain resistance and edge retention. The wooden handles are made from lightweight and highly durable Teak wood with a 1000 Janka Hardness rating. The knife roll is made from genuine cow leather.
