| DESIGN NAME: Lobby Stretched PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Lobby Stretched. Space in a conventional wisdom. Is another level. It is an extension of the entrance. It is to nurture a child's place. You can Cuisine. You can party. You can play. You can exchange. Become the center of home, warm residence with all the people come and go. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: What is the intended residence? I can talk about the rhythm, dialogue, through, opening, boundary, staggered, float. After reaching function, foregoing just a mean of form. I want to talk about the existence between the housing and the owner The essence of life is the sense of that presence. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In the traditional Japanese architecture, the Lobby Stretched is the connection between public and private areas in a residence. The Lobby Stretched is similar to the idea of today’s entrance of a house but it has more functions and big. For example, this area is available for reception, chatting, cooking, cleaning and playing. By introducing the above two ideas into this project, the traditional restrictions on the space are broken for a restructure. The space outside bedrooms is considered as a whole. The behavior of reception, chatting, cooking, cleaning and playing thus can be transformed into forms in a construction so that the behavior naturally flows in the forms.
