DESIGN NAME: Modern Palazzo
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House
INSPIRATION: The inspiration for the design comes from the love of art, pure and beautiful forms. The limited, neutral colour scheme is counterweighted with colour coming from paintings, accessories and flowers. The space was intended to stay elegant and sophisticated as the time passes. Iconic furniture and lighting makes this design complete and livable.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Modern Palazzo design is a modern interpretation of aristocratic palaces of the past adjusted to contemporary lifestyle and requirements of today world. The design includes both the public image of the entrance hall, which was very carefully designed in order to make it welcoming and comfortable, yet impressive, and cosiness and functionality of the private areas. Regardless of the function, all rooms are uniquely enhanced with selection of iconic design and art, which is studio's trademark
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The interior is a home to a family with children, therefore the main goal was to make this space family friendly, while maintaining the luxurious image and finest finishings. The family, who lives in this space is extremely satisfied with the clear separation of public and private space, where all family members can feel truly comfortable and at ease. Mixed utility zone like kitchen, dining and living area are arranged to be welcoming and scalable for larger gatherings and more intimate, family events as well.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started and completed in 2014 in Warsaw.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Since the project is about the interior design the crucial issues were proper sourcing of best possible furbishing materials and selection of finest furniture and accessories, which complete the design and make it truly unique. The studio decided to use iconic Italian furniture from Poliform, Gervasoni and Antonio Lupi, while distinctive lighting comes from Catellani&Smith.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The in-depth pre-design interview was conducted with the client, in order to settle the frameworks of this project, especially to establish the family needs, requirements and lifestyle. The studio came up with the design solutions and products, which were 100% compliant with client's demands and budget.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge was to keep a proper balance between the public and private, while maintaining the coherent image of the interior.
