DESIGN NAME: Transience
PRIMARY FUNCTION: White gold jewelry collection
INSPIRATION: The technic of weaving a spider web is repeated in the virtual weaving of the slender necklace made of white gold. Fragile, gentle spider webs with asymmetrically inset zirconia stones highlight the transience of nature and its beauty. The idea of spider webs is used to design a collection of different jewelry pieces, single or also embedded to the dress.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Different items of jewelry in the shape of fragile, gentle spider webs intertwined with fabric that echoes the structure of the jewelry creating a wavelike effect. The motion of thread in space creates a web, which gives an impression of fabric, and is used in the same way. Thanks to its spatial properties it enwraps and embraces the body that opens up numerous opportunities for designing unconventional jewelry. Asymmetrically inset zirconia stones are reminiscent of fresh dew drops glittering on the webs.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Conceptual design of jewelry in the form of a spider web can be a foundation of various embodiments of jewelry like cobwebs interweaved different parts of the body. Implementation can be quite unconventional, but could in its structure more or less include a ring, earrings, necklace, bracelet or necklace. Jewelry can be used completely independently, in free combinations, but can also be adapted and, if desired, fit to design of the cloth.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Two garments with built-in gold and silver jewelry were created in 1998 for a fashion competition. On the basis of these creations there was developed a depth, often exhibited and awarded fashion and photography exhibition project Anima meditans. The creations were often a source of inspiration. But the idea was presented before it’s time, for the implementation into practice there had time to pass. Jewelry collection Transience is developing under the trademark Stories design now.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: White gold jewelry pieces with embedded zirconium stones are, according to drawings, made in Zlatarna Celje, a world-renowned jewelry manufacturer with a long tradition of jewelry. The design of the jewelry is adapted to the specific and the structure of the fabrics chosen for female evening clothing. Consideration should be transparency, optical light reflexes and a drop of material. Jewelry is swinging only parts of the body that the garment does not cover, or falling alone through the space.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The garment has integrated nine pieces of jewelry that are interconnected into a single creation. Earrings 140mm x 110 mm with a small necklace, two rings with cobwebs bracelet 110 mm x 120 mm, the back necklace of 400 mm and two bigger cobwebs of 500 mm x 800 mm with upper arm necklace. Jewelry can be adapted to be removable or to wear independently.

CHALLENGE: The structure of a cobnet is very delicate, fine, almost invisible. The creation is very sensitive. It is very important how to present it. It comes to its utmost beauty when set directly on the skin highlighted with a good direct lighting. Therefore, the jewelry is the most beautiful on evening occasions. The brilliance is the most powerful on the dark background, which also applies to photography of the creations.
