| DESIGN NAME: Tero PRIMARY FUNCTION: Stool INSPIRATION: My goal was to create simple design. Only two forms: chrome and synthetic materials. Main inspiration was contrast between form and material. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Tero stool is a modern pieces of furniture The main goal was to design elegant an functionally stool.. This object is a design process to connect two opposition and contrast in form and material as well. Looks futuristic and stylish complies main function as seats. Simple construction easy to manufacture by cast form. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Stool Profile adapts perfectly to body shapes whereby seats is very comfortable. The Shape allows easy transfer and storage. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project commenced the sketching stage in 2015 in London (UK). Final prototype was completed in January 2016 in London (UK). FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Synthetic material (Cast Form) and Chrome leg SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: stool dimensions - height 450mm x width 418mm x depth 374mm TAGS: stool, chair, furniture, seat, seating, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research started from selection of form and material. Many options was evaluated at the prototype stage especially seats profile. The stool combines an outstanding design. Although designed, to be durable, timeless and as a piece of furniture to be kept for a life time. Final stage proved simple design. A simple form makes it easy to shipped and upload directly to the user. CHALLENGE: The main goal was to design pieces of furniture elegant an functionally. The biggest challenge was find a stable form from synthetic material. Then came the idea to connect with this chrome leg that provided stable seats. Finally this connection have affected for closing contrast idea.
