DESIGN NAME: Pocket
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Refillable notebook
INSPIRATION: The idea for Pocket came from a need to make a small, handy notebook that fits in a breast pocket or a handbag.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The cover of a pocket notebook is made of recycled leather. The notebook insert is changeable, so when you run out of pages you can easily replace the insert with a new one, keeping the old covers. This way the notebook will stay with you for years.
The notebook consists of three next parts: the cover, a cardboard piece and a notebook. All pieces are held together by a rubber band, which also closes the notebook. The middle cardboard piece works as a page marker. A small pen is attached on the front cover to easily stay on place. Pocket is available in many different color combinations.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When the notebook is full, you can remove the notebook part by pulling out the rubber band. The cover can be used over and over again, and it will last many years.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The product was designed during years 2014 and 2015 in Lahti, Finland.
