| DESIGN NAME: Swing PRIMARY FUNCTION: 65 inch UHD TV INSPIRATION: Demands of consumers on display sizes are getting bigger every year. Purchasing a TV unit while buying a TV set is almost inevitable. In-home mobility of TVs and these units are getting remarkably low considering the growth in TV sizes. This design solution blends these considerations into one superior TV concept. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Swing TV is a timeless design that suits every home environment, yet keeps its unique characteristic appearance. An unforgettable fusion of technology and furniture. An iconic design. The main purpose of this TV concept is to bring a furniture taste in home environments. Integration of shelf gives users an opportunity to place other TV accessories (Sound bar, TV box.) easily without bothering its surroundings. Thanks to stand’s design solution it can be packaged and shipped in larger amounts. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project is started in May 2015 in Manisa /Turkey and finished in January 2016 at Manisa/Turkey. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: TV itself is produced as metal front cover and plastic back cover. The stand of the TV is constructed from aluminium extrusion profiles (powder coated). A tempered glass sheet used as a shelf. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1561 x 505 x 1438 mm (Set), 1620 x 165 x 1006 mm (TV box), 1510 x 510 x 90 mm (Stand box) TAGS: Television, Stand, Display, Modular, Aluminium RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The hardest part of this project is to develop a sleek design solution by using local production facilities and keeping it low priced in order to create a marketable design.
