| DESIGN NAME: Yuk Choy PRIMARY FUNCTION: Branding design INSPIRATION: This is a gift for alma mater, and is a free public welfare project. Graduated for many years we always have a wish, that use our strength to design something for our alma mater. While collecting information, we found a few black and white photos. These photos were shooting while the school is under construction. The headmaster stood in the empty land, and it has become school classroom. We are grown up and walk out from this land to chase our dream. These black and white photos have become our inspiration. With representatives of Chinese plum blossom badge, the way to start a new story. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: School is also a brand. Brand temperament, color, design, and these entire cultural bases can distinguish different positioning with the school that builds by local government, and will develop into the unique value in the future. The design of the strategic thinking considers the future development of the brand, and will bring additional potential value for the brand. YUK CHOY has over one hundred year’s history, make the collective memory of several generations. The story is a brand of charm! PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 1983ASIA put the words out instead of word mark. Brand name is more short more easy to remember and express the spirit of it. Therefore we remove and cut the school name, and through the hand-painted, scanning, and finally into the computer in PS and AI software on a series of modified creative process. Redesign and form concise modern text that is easy to read. NAME: 1983ASIA PROFILE: It comes from a faith. 1983 ASIA is co-founded by Su SU (Tianjin, China) and YAO (Malaysia) in Shenzhen China.We are very glad that we were guided by K&L. After years of experience of handling projects, we made several brands also achieve ourselves.However, after the joy come again and again, it left us endless thought. We grew up in Asia which was measured by western culture. In this case, the identity of Asian is getting vague.We used to let the treasure of us go, but we have to learn how to reunite the world. The cultural convergence left us regret for globalization and internationalization.“Sometimes, traditional Asian culture is a fetter of western.”We are inspired astonishingly that only tracing to the source can solve the inner contradiction. Based on Asian and designer, we tried to break the bound of concepts and used art design to show our experience and achievement through studying Asian culture.Turning invisible culture into glamorous Asian visual product is the lost-for–long happiness that we reach for in the world. |
