| DESIGN NAME: Taiwanese Aboriginal Facial Mask PRIMARY FUNCTION: Skin Care INSPIRATION: TenArt Biotech goes after the quality, safety, innovation, and fashion of personal-care products. Based in Taiwan, we have abundant agriculture, rich biodiversity, and ancient culture of indigenous people. Therefore, we add local elements into our products, and use eco-friendly ingredients to show the beauty and lavishness of Taiwanese culture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The product includes the beauty of Taiwan’s aborigines. Gained the patents, the formulas includes Taiwan’s local plants such as bitter melon, pigeon peas, and Formosa lily. The package is inspired by the aboriginal legends, and printed with non-toxic soy-based inks. The shape of foil bags is designed as ” orbicular sky and rectangular earth”, representing a balance of Yin and Yang. The gift box features endangered Black-faced Spoonbills, and made of stone paper to show the love of earth. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Image that you can easily have an at-home face spa by yourself and revive skin effectively in just 15 minutes! Wash your face, and use the serum in the upper part of the foil package. Then, take the mask sheet form the lower part of the package. Take the middle mask & put it on your face, and in just 20 minutes, the eco-friendly and oil-free essence will be tightening up pores, smoothing out fine lines. The masks are SGS certified and suitable for any skin type. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The products are available from 2014. Sales in Taiwan and overseas. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The formulas follow the Taiwanese aboriginal culture and legacy, and feature the Taiwan’s local plants such as bitter melon, pigeon peas, and Taiwan Sun Moon Lake Ruby Black Tea. The product includes top quality plant extracts, and contains no animal ingredients. The mask sheet is made of Japanese natural silk, with high infiltration. The masks were passed the SGS Human Patch Test and Ultra Trace Industrial Safety Hygiene Test. Each mask is individually packaged in a 9-layer foil sachet designed to keep the mask sheet & serum fresh and highly effective. Each foil packaging showcases exclusive, stunningly beautiful artwork inspired by Taiwanese Aboriginal culture, printed with environmentally friendly soy ink. We also create a mobile APP to help customer evaluate their skin to get the suitable mask. We asked different experts, ranging from archaeologists, dermatology specialist, paper artists to designers, to make it happen. Via our project, the meaning of facial masks are reconsidered by the customers. Skin-care is not only a healthy procedure, it is also a part of cultural experience and can be a representation or signature of a country.
