DESIGN NAME: MYBath
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bathroom Cabinet
INSPIRATION: It was designed and inspired by the difficulties experienced by children when they use bathroom cabinets. The bathroom cabinet was designed with a concept that is suitable for use by everyone.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The bathroom cabinet was designed with a concept that is suitable for use by everyone from 7 to 70 years of age. It was aimed for children to be able to use the washbasin and mirror safely with the movable step below and by forming a handle at the counter. Furthermore, it was provided that the users would be able to see their faces easily with the angled covers with mirrors at the center and sides of the upper cabinet.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Besides the usability of the bathroom cabinet with step and angled covers with mirrors, it also has a large storage capacity.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project/design was started in June 2015 in Ankara, Turkey.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The side pieces, lower and upper pieces and the drawer box of the bathroom lower and upper cabinets formed from six modules were assembled with minifix connection elements.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The lacquered and melamine-coated Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) material, which is possible to be reused and whose wastes are almost completely recyclable, was preferred in the production of the bathroom cabinet.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: MYBath was envisaged due to the difficulties experienced by children when using bathroom cabinets and a bathroom cabinet was designed that would be suitable for use by everyone from 7 to 70 years of age.
CHALLENGE: Generally, bathroom cabinets are designed by taking adults into consideration. On the contrary, the MYBath bathroom cabinet highlights user comfort with the movable step and the three angled covers with mirrors, which have been designed for children.
