PRIMARY FUNCTION: Book Design
INSPIRATION: This book is a final work of my graphic study in Italy. I have lived in here more than 5 years, and I found that lots of my friend who love chinese food is not really known well about traditional chinese food. I'm a traditional chinese, and infact the chinese food culture is not like people known, from the chinese resturants or some recipes. So it the idea came out and I hope more people understand the real chinese food cultures by this simple book.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a book of Chinese traditional foods, selected some stories by personal experiences about tasting. By using photos, contest and graphics, to show what I'm eating as a Chinese and to tell some stories abouti food in my memories. They are also book marks made by spices, poster, handmade stamp, photo album and so on. Hope it may press Chinese cultures.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This book is a final work of my graphic study in Italy. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The idea came out in August 2014, and started in October 2014, it has finished in Dicember 2014. It has printed just 10 books in first time in Florence, Italy.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This book in this moment is still print in little, so it has used 6 colors digital print on the fine paper.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The packeging designed for the book used recycle paperboard from supermarket, and it was basic on the form of traditional chinese food box. It was handmade by some people who don't have works, it may have social meaning.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This is a project about press Chinese culture, and it isn't a comercial work in moment. When it has exhibited in the final work exhibition in graphic school, so many people were interested in it, also many people from my county. I hope it can be used to help more "foreigners" who are interested in chinese traditional food culture to learn about real chinese food culture. And after the final work exhibition, I have got a answer that this book maybe could be frequently, could to be a book with more contents and more pictures original from locations, more beautiful and cultural graphic designs , finaly to be published.
CHALLENGE: It was really difficult to do a book during 3 month, especially it needs large quantities of traditional pictures, tests and translations of the tests. And it's better to do with a group.
