RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To form my vases, I begin with a metal sheet of 12/10 thickness, about 300 - 500 mm diameter in copper or brass and then works the material to the desired shape using a specialised hammer technique. Once the shape is completed I produce the exterior decorations. The final stage is the glaze which gives the piece its colour.
CHALLENGE: This type of artistic metalwork demands a lot of time and patience; thousands of hammer blows are needed to achieve the final result.
