DESIGN NAME: Mosaic Fantasy
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Tippets and Headscarfs
INSPIRATION: Initially I was inspired by genius works of Antonio Gaudi. Having seen his mosaic works and stained-glass windows, I wanted to recreate these motives into prints for tippets. But of course, I didn’t copy his works, I created something new and unique. The material of collection is silk. Radiance of silk makes print very bright and it looks even more like mosaic or kaleidoscope.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The objective was to create a unique thing which will be able to emphasize an individual stile of its owner. Motives was meticulously designed by myself and printed on natural silk.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The luxurious fabrics used in the collection are pleasant for a body and environmentally friendly.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Digital printing was utilised for the fabric. The fabric is 100% silk. Digital printing technology is very conveniently for small quantities of fabric. It is much more available for yang designers then rotary printing technology.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I did research not only Gaudi’s works, but different medieval stained glass windows, favorite works of of the Art Nouveau and some Egypt ornaments. I know the technological features of manufacturing and difference in the technologies of printing on fabric. I always interested in trends of textile and fashion world. But most I want to create by inspiration, beautiful and unique things, that not only fashionable, but popular for a long time and make their owns happy.
CHALLENGE: I admire ornaments. From ancient times ornament contains a history of people. I like experimenting, making patterns from different motives – mosaic or stained glass or natural textures. All that inspired me I use in textile. Today, different textile technologies give great opportunities for artists. All motives were drawn by myself. No copied images, no processed photos. Only original sketches, drawn first on paper and then in computer program.
