DESIGN NAME: Janus
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Stapled Dishes
INSPIRATION: The curiosity to realize another object than a piece of furniture complete in wood and my love & interest for ceramic and my friendship and admiration for a famous ceramist like Claude Aiëllo. Claude was awarded in 2014 the best ceramic-craftsman of France
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: My design is classical, not fashionable who it's make different from the most other design. It's timeless, complex but not complicated, easy legible and structured.
It's also very special that the majority of my pieces of furniture are interlocked or stapled objects. The dish called Janus, is composed of 2 parts: a exterior part in dark blue ceramic or porter & a interior part -a real dish- in light blue ceramic
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Janus will be promote and sell in specialized Design-Shops. And of course also promoted in Design Magazine and on TV

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Exterior Dishes in dark blue ceramic and the Interior Dish in light blue ceramic are hand-made by Claude Aiëllo; the table-top in plywood is developed in Italy, realized in Hong-Kong and distributed in Germany. It's a new product that I used for the first time. This Plywood- top is partly hand-made and machine-made by a furniture maker
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The Exterior Dish measure 370/550 mm Diameter x 260 mm Height. The Interior Dish: 348 mm Diameter x 245 mm Height. The Low Tables are 260 & 520 mm height because the table-top is slipped over (along) the Exterior Dish or Dishes. The Dining Table, 3 piled dishes + the plywood-top is 780 mm Height. The plywood is natural varnished. All the parts of Janus will be packed in a wood box
