DESIGN NAME: TTMM
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Watchfaces Apps
INSPIRATION: The inspiration for TTMM collection comes form Future and sci-fi movies like: 2001 Space Odyssey, Star Wars and Predator. Great influence for me was Tokyo Flash Japan portal and NOOKA brand.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: TTMM watchfaces for Pebble Time and Pebble Time Round smartwatches. You will find here 50 and 18 models in over 600 color variations. TTMM collection is such a new experience because it is simple, minimal and aesthetic. At the same time it feels well-known and as if it came from the future. It is a combination of digits and abstract infographics. These models do not pretend anything: they are original graphic time signs.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: TTMM watchfaces can be uploaded to Pebble watch through TTMM app for Android and iOS. In TTMM app you can view design, read description, buy and upload watch faces and prepare your favorite models list.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2015 and finished in February 2016 in Warsaw in Poland.
FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interface, Interaction and User Experience Design

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The name TTMM consists of the word TIME and HH:MM and with a mechanical pronunciation it represents the digitalization of our era. I belive that many users of smartwatches want not only great-style hardware but also seek a new expression for time.
CHALLENGE: The challenge facing me was to design a watch face in a new way. I was tired of seeing simulations of mechanical clocks and 80' LCD screens. These are simulacrums of something that has now gone: it's only a kind of nostalgia. New technology provides us with a new "space"; the opportunity is priceless and we need to take advantage of it in the right way. That is why I am trying to define and invent new signs of the 21 century era and soft(ware)time is good for that.
