| DESIGN NAME: Vivon Stone Edge Chair PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chair INSPIRATION: The inspiration was to provide foam comfort in a stylish and ergonomic chair design. Layers of supporting and comforting foam work together to provide an easy place to sit and relax. The Vivon Stone Edge Foam chair brings foam comfort to modern design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Enjoy the combination of style and comfort. Relax with the foam support and modern style of the Stone Edge Vivon foam accent chair. The ergonomic design with supporting curves makes this chair an easy place to sit and relax. The Vivon Stone Edge Foam chair adds style to every room in the house. All styles are available in a variety of vibrant colors. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Sit back and relax in the foam comfort of the Vivon Stone Edge chair. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Layers of conforming foam are used for the structure of this Vivon Stone Edge Chair instead of heavy wood/steel framed interiors. This method generates curves and unparalleled comfort from a complete foam structure. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Different Densities of Support Foam are used to create the Vivon Stone Edge chair. Higher densities are used in the seat and bottom layers of the chair while more conforming foam is used in the back rest area. The chair measures 700 mm wide x 991 mm deep x 737 mm in height. The knitted jacquard cover is comfortable, durable, removable and washable. The chair and colorful cover ship in compressed packaging to reduce shipping costs and carbon footprint. TAGS: chair, foam, furniture, modern, comfort, colorful RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We wanted our foam furniture to be as comfortable and pressure relieving as our memory foam mattresses. Our process of compressing and packaging foam products is patented and allows our foam furniture to be shipped and delivered for a low cost. CHALLENGE: As a memory foam mattress manufacturer, bringing innovative furniture designs to life required new production methods. Using foam is less complicated than conventional framed upholstered furniture but it has different challenges. Finding the perfect density of foam for each of the chair sections, so that they would provide the optimal pressure relieving support and comfort was the greatest challenge.
