| DESIGN NAME: Grandes de Apiane PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wine Bottle INSPIRATION: The complete design of both the bottle as graphic elements (labels, boxes, cases, etc.), was inspired by the green vineyards hills surrounding the winery. This bottle wine embodies the elements of nature with a vegetal embossing design that incorporates an elegant label with modern typographical element. Through the paper treatments every individual element has been carefully considered and crafted to convey the wine’s unique personality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Elegance and aesthetics were customer’s guidelines for that new bottle project. Helena came as a perfect name to express seduction for its original and innovative design. The beauty of its embossing wrapping a creative bottle shape, very different from traditional cabernet or burgundy shaped wine containers. The whole label features premium details such as elegant typography and hot foil stamping, relief silk-screen printing. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Project started in January 2015, when customer confirmed the technical drawing, and finished in June 2015, when the bottle entered in production. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The project began with the realization of a hand-drawn sketch, where the main design features are established and began to create the identity of the bottle. After completing this process, our specialists worked on the technical aspects in 3D structural engineering programs. The biggest challenges were adapting the design engraving for glass manufacturing processes, especially demolding requirements. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 80mm x 313mm ; 75 cl TAGS: Embossing, winebottle, design, packaging, label RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: During the project, the biggest challenge we had to face was to integrate the design embossing around the bottle, ensuring an adequate demolding and further production by the glassworks.
