| DESIGN NAME: Uni-V PRIMARY FUNCTION: Telescopic column INSPIRATION: It was inspired from a tradition tripod with 3 way head while setting up a viewing point. We wondered if we could replace the tripod by an "innovative & elegant" support in column form offering viewers to have "free & smooth" movements? With this obsession, we started to design and combine our ideas together. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Telescopic column in alluminum signed "Uni-V" will free all binding movements for panoramic viewings and astronomical observations. Its pure design is perfect for interior or exterior installation at home with view. It works with all 1/4 "thread optical equipments. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: With the telescopic column, you can simply hold and move the binocular in all panoramic directions. Vertical plane views are also freely accessible without constraints. You can tighten the joints by the handle or a Hex key. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in april 2013. The first prototype was created in July 2013. The first public exhibition took place in September at Canne during the International Boat Show. After some technical improvements, the renewed version was presented at Canne and Paris during the two International boat show in 2014.
