| DESIGN NAME: Chiari di Lunae PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lamp INSPIRATION: “Chiari”, like the purity of Murano glass and the balanced intensity of the light which crosses every element, "Lunae", like the elegance and precious quality of she who reflects the light of the sun and gives her name to the collection of Morellato jewels where the outright star is natural pearl. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Chiari di Lunae is a jewel lamp, an open lighting system under development which allows for the light to be interpreted in a different way. Handcrafted cylinders in purest crystal of "Vetreria Vistosi", embellished with "Morellato Gioielli" pearls, create a luminous texture which captures the eye and lights up the ambient through a led source. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started at the end of 2013 and finished in march 2015, and was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in April 2015. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This lamp is made of crystal cilinders, pearls, small chains and it works with led. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: diameter 40 cm, height 80 cm (max 120 cm with cables) TAGS: lamp, jewel, crystal, led, pearl, led RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The challenge was to make a common lamp a jewel lamp combining a simple material like glass with pearls.
