| DESIGN NAME: Escala 1/100 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under plate INSPIRATION: It is inspired on nipons and suisse architecture and based on the proportion and creativity. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design is a building scale, inspired by the competition of "Chicago Tribune 1922" and our knowledge of the Swiss and Japanese architecture. It´s used as an under plate but has an added sculptural value and also when illuminated has the sensitivity of Japanese culture. The design is distinguished by the finished technical and harmony based on the Phy number. It is noteworthy architectural influence. The strength of the design is the union of architecture, sculpture and furniture in the same job. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is, at the same time an sculpture, and center of tablero, is used for a lamp with a small candle reflecting light through all layers, table mat and for under plates. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Started in may 2012 in Madrid and finished in Oct 2012 in Madrid, and was exhibited in Paseo de la Castellana in Nov 2012. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Metal: Stainless steel plate 15mm, cut with laser, folds with folding size 3mm, welded and sanding. Wood. Cut with laser and stick. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 200mm x Depth 200 mm x Height 390 mm It is a furniture that is made of 13 pieces that fit. Each piece has one or many functions and is very attractive in the furniture all uses at one time. TAGS: Proporcional, original, design, architecture, scale, multifunctional RESEARCH ABSTRACT: A thorough investigation of history of skyscrapers and architectural history was held. The objective was a comprehensive study of these topics represent them in our furniture. The methodology was to synthesize all the information to summarize in our furniture. Participants in this project are the Interior Architect Oriente Aldaz and Architect Huberto Aldaz . Several models of furniture and later prototypes were made until the final furniture. In real life we've tested through various events , pop-ups . We had very good feed back from people. CHALLENGE: dazhaus was created for the love of two brothers to architecture and interior design. Because of the free time at work gave us the economic crisis that is happening Spain (which is affecting much to the field of architecture and interior design) decided to devote this time to that dream of designing furniture that we had ever had. We had plenty of time to design and go to factories to be directing the creation of prototypes according to our tastes. NAME: dazhaus S.L.P. PROFILE: Huberto Aldaz & Oriente Aldaz, architects and designers, are two brothers who share a profound taste for the fine arts. Born in Madrid, they are recognized for their tailor made furniture creations that they produce in their metal factory. They declare themselves as lovers of the Japanese and Swiss architecture, which brought them the inspiration for their latest collection, "ESCALA". They are specialized in architectural geometry furniture in which using the scale and creativity, they find the perfect harmony between function, shape and structure. |
