| DESIGN NAME: VUX PRIMARY FUNCTION: Virtual User Experience INSPIRATION: - UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: VUX is the new era of appliance control in the field of kitchen appliances. With the light projection, VUX enhances kitchen experience with virtual control surface. The networked devices in the kitchen can be controlled from a central interface projected on the different areas of the worktop depending on the needs of the user. Dishwasher, hob and hood can be controlled with this fully product. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: - SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Hood is the main control for networked devices in the kitchen. Depending on the user needs, the UI’s of the devices can be moved to different areas of the worktop by simple hand gestures. Thanks to the projected User Interface of VUX, all of buttons and screens of hood, hob and dishwasher are removed. VUX menu is projected on the kitchen countertop in order to broaden the limits of the interaction area and increase flexibility. The menu’s of the appliances can be expanded and collapsed according to usage scenarios. VUX guides the user where to put the pan when it is turned on. All objects can be detected if it is a pan or not. The heating unit is deactivated if a pan is removed out of hob area. In order to increase cooking efficiency, VUX guides for correct pan positions. Also, hot surfaces are highlighted for users security. While running the program, remaning time and follower information are displayed. It allows to pause or cancel the process.
