| DESIGN NAME: Planet without the "E" PRIMARY FUNCTION: Mini Planter Set INSPIRATION: I was inspired by stacking products. I also sought an elegant way of presenting plants, and an aesthetic and architectural combination of geometric forms. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a mini planter set you can display anywhere you like in your house. Separate parts of this planter allow you to play with construction by combining pieces. You can also grow herbs in this planter. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Planet without the "E" was developed in Milan, and Osaka. This work was exhibited in D(esign)-day - Maastricht in May 2013, London Design Festival in September 2013, and Milan Design Week in April 2014. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |

NAME: YU HIRAOKA DESIGN PROFILE: Yu Hiraoka Design is a fresh design brand based in Milan. It was founded by a Japanese designer, Yu Hiraoka in Milan in 2013. The brand has collaborated with several design studios in Italy, and worked on projects for companies in Italy, Germany, USA, China, and Japan through collaborations. The works cover product design, interior design, graphic design, and art direction. In 2015, Hiraoka co-founded Japanese International Design Award and works as a director of the award.
