DESIGN NAME: World Graphic Day Poster Exhibition
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Visual Identity
INSPIRATION: "International World Graphic Day Poster Exhibition" would like to invite poster designers from different countries of the world to participate in this exhibition in the capital of Iran, Tehran. I thought of a rolled poster as the visual identity of the exhibition. I designed a cone-shaped poster like a map point seen from top, so it can be seen like a big poster as well as a map point. This great poster exhibition will be held at Tehran Artistic Scope.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: World Graphic Day Poster Exhibition held in Tehran 2014 was an international invitational poster exhibition including 37 designers from many other countries such as Mexico, Spain, Germany, U.S.A, Japan, Turkey and Iran with the subject of "International World Graphic Day". The objective was to create interaction between designers of different nationalities in order to build up the interaction of new and old generation of designers so that they could express International World Graphic Day from their own standpoint.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The form of Visual Identity is used as name tags next to each poster and its also used as a main image in exhibition poster.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started on 27th of April 2014 in Tehran Artistic Scope and finished on May 10th, and was exhibited in Alborz Artistic Scope in August 2014.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Function was simple. Morteza Farahnak had to make something to present World Graphic Day from different views and different countries. So he decided to mix a rolled poster with a map point and the result was a visual identity and Tags beside the posters which present World Graphic Day from their own point of view as a foreign graphic designer.
CHALLENGE: Design something for a Design event is hard. because design is for people who work in Design fields and they are sensitive for their own Design event. So Morteza Farahnak said to him-self '' less is more'' and tried to make something very special to present the event while it could be interesting for non-designer audience.

I am in awe of the creativity behind the World Graphic Day Poster Exhibition. It is a perfect amalgamation of rolled poster and map point which not only presents the event in an eye-catching way but also manages to attract both design professionals and non-designers. The successful incorporation of the Tags that capture the different views of the foreign graphic designers is especially admirable. I cannot help but applaud the designer's skill and effort that has gone into creating this unique and wonderful piece of work.

Well done! I'm in awe of the creativity and thought that went into this visual identity for the International World Graphic Day Poster Exhibition. Morteza Farahnak's work is truly inspiring and it's easy to see why it was chosen for an A' Design Award. The idea of a cone-shaped poster resembling a map point is genius and it's a great way to represent the exhibition and make it stand out. The simplicity of the design is a great way to show the global nature of the event and to emphasize that it is an event for people from all over the world. I'm excited to see the great poster designs that are sure to come out of this exhibition!
