DESIGN NAME: coolette
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Clothing Store
INSPIRATION: The main inspiration orginates from the wind sentiment. The 30000 blocks of changing color stainless steel plates swings with the wind and it replects the changing of fashion trend: calm as a mirror when there is no wind ; swing as leaves across the lake when it is breezing; tempestuous waves ups and downs when wind fiecely blows. The shop appearance changes every single minute to record the fashion tide. It is an expression of Oriental aesthetics.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: this design which emphasizes artistic and commercial combination.It doesn't only give a fresh visual experience, but also to make customers more convenient through the use of internal self-service system.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: My idea is to create a legendary image of Coolette to be presented to the entire world.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in January 2014, completed in April 2014, located in Qingdao, China

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The entire ground floor is young and full of character design rendering. Customers can select favorite clothing styles on their own through computers. This is a more convenient and faster way to a new shopping experience.
The first floor area is more advanced space which presents a different visual experience from the ground floor. It is more powerful and calm highlighting the extraordinary quality and history.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As the No.1 shop of a high-end brand, the first problem to solve during design is how to show the world her special character and highlight.
A vital exterior is the proper expression, and her soul is wind, we have developed a serial of moulds, so as to implement and copy rapidly, and we also pay attention to the surface chameleon effect and endurance all the time.
The key point of interior design is the combination of space details and new commercial pattern.
CHALLENGE: As a new-born brand, the design for Coolette needs to deliver the brand image accurately and it also needs to be eye-catching. The creative idea is to use a rich and dynamic skin for the exterior wall. It is consisted of thirty thousands stainless steel pieces with customized coating materials to reflect various colors and to show different expressions at all time. It resembles the fashion style represented by Collette.
