| DESIGN NAME: Catapult PRIMARY FUNCTION: Urban Light INSPIRATION: We were inspired to design these lamps are the catapult form, and then we have instilled a new sense of light. Lamp not only LED light source, because we believe that part of the street. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Night time socializing and enrich the city’s night life.During the day, the luminaries’ design also plays an architectural role, complementing the street scene with style and beauty.Create a two way light at different heights, adjustable in different angles that come with feature lighting helps.Going beyond decorative functional outdoor lighting to help you create a unique, stunning and harmonious look for any public space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The lamp is ideal for sidewalks, parks, walkways, and bike paths, public areas and building entryways. It has been designed for areas requiring medium intensity lighting, and can be also used to create ambiance lighting. Can be installed in different angles in the pictures there. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2014 in Tehran and finished in October 2014 in Tehran. Was exhibited in Iran lighting design conference 2014. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Through the formation of three-dimensional parts using precision manufacturing apart with electrostatic paint and layout of electronic components in a product as standalone units. Cast, aluminum and bronze three different materials that are capable of forming . The lamp is design with high-grade aluminum. To maximize their appeal they have minimalist, robust, specifically designed extrusions. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Two Size: 1-Small:Width 500 mm x Depth 250 mm x Height 800 mm 2-Big:Width 1000 mm x Depth 500 mm x Height 1600 mm with new materials it can weighted less that 1500-2700 gr but with high mechanical and physical properties so it won't scratch with help of nano coatings or won't change or lose the body color , so always we have clean and shiny product. In addition there are a few lamps in the market by the advantage of simplicity and ease of use. There are other factors such as price and product image that has considered through this design project. We tried to design a product with much of elegance and affordability. CHALLENGE: The challenge of research was to find a way to design an economic product with much of prestigious statement along its modern & minimal form. Simplicity, low energy consumption and beauty are main factor of this design. Brings together high-quality design and craftsmanship in an engaging collection of exterior lighting solutions and urban furniture, living in unison for your greatest outdoor pleasure.
