DESIGN NAME: The share collection
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Earrings
INSPIRATION: The share collection is inspired by three key words, "fashion", "collective design" and "designer's identity".
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The collection composed of the geometrically-shaped "Share the ART" and heart-shaped "Share the heART", is a group of eight charmingly designed earrings. The designer Liza Belachew spawned the idea that multiple people can share a single concept through these earrings, connecting them not only with friends and families, but also with the unacquainted who share the interest for this collection, blessing all those that wear them with a sense of oneness, comfort, serendipity, and happiness.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: You can select and wear a piece alone or different pieces on each ear. The designer hopes these jewelries become a fashion signature for all that wear them.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2014 in JAPAN and finished in August 2014.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: All pieces in the collection are eight charmingly designed earrings featuring three distinct textures of mirror polish, hairline finish and diamonds. They highlight visual irregularity and uneven texture of the member pieces all in a vividly inspirational design that lets you feel wabi sabi, the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature. Put together, the pieces share a single motif, perfectly combined with each other through the superbly elaborate techniques of Japanese craftsmanship.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: With reference of the design research, the designer visited and learned a lot from various kinds of art and traditional craftsmanship, such as Ethiopian Coptic paintings, Japanese parquetry, Kimono, Italian mosaic art, stained glass, and ...etc
CHALLENGE: The hardest part of this design was that designer was taking out abstractive emotion and unexplainable feeling deep inside of her ,and sorting out and verifying to herself if she really want to express it.
