DESIGN NAME: Tarro
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Container
INSPIRATION: Inspired by basic shapes and interaction between them, Tarro tries to revalue the beauty of simplicity. Three materials, three shapes, three textures: one product.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is a family of containers where the shape and material of each part are defined strictly by the function. Each product is unique, pottery is made using the technique of lathe. The cork lid provides sealing, and the handle is made out of wood for more pleasant contact. Colors of each material adds warmth and texture blend.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We based our design in usage, they are decorative and functional objects. Suitable for new lifestyles and small places where people lives nowadays.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in December 2013 in Montevideo.

CHALLENGE: The objective was to encourage links with local workshops, rescuing traditional techniques and optimizing production processes.
The challenge was to achieve a handmade product with good finish and some standardization, combining materials and shapes in an attractive way.
