| DESIGN NAME: Bond PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bangle INSPIRATION: Many kinds of geometrical figures UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The focus of this design was to find dynamic form composed of simple elements. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This bangle is designed to be worn simply on either wrist. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started and finished in March 2014 in Philadelphia. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Brass plated in gold and nickel. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 82.04 x 21.11 x 82.04 mm TAGS: Jewellery, Fashion Jewellery, Bangle, Gold, Nickel RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The main technical challenge was making elaborate parts of the bangle with the 3D printing technique. In order to fabricate the parts, I had to research the technical limitations of this medium and its error range. NAME: J.M.J PROFILE: Jimin Jung was born in 1990 in the Republic of Korea. He has studied crafts and industrial design in Philadelphia. He began his exploration of jewelry at university. His design philosophy comes from modernism and minimalism. Creating work that is out of the ordinary and proving that not only expensive stones and materials make good jewelry are the significance of his design. |
