| DESIGN NAME: Birdies PRIMARY FUNCTION: Collection of brooches INSPIRATION: The summer trip to Southeast Asia inspired designer to create four bright and bold brooches. Two months on the other side of the world is an inexhaustible source of new creative ideas. All these new people, new sounds, new smells left a vivid impression in designers' memory and are embodied in her design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is a bright collection of brooches which shows ease and freedom of the person. A series of brooches "Birdies in search of an adventure" inspires on the impossible. If little birds were able to do so, everyone can. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: You can put on these brooches in any situation. Stamping and the soldering helped to make these brooches not the heavy. And enamels add paints and bright mood PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2013 in Togliatti and finished in May 2013 in Togliatti, and was exhibited in Jewelry Olympus in june 2013. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Each brooch in collection is made manually. Brooches are made of copper and a copper wire with use of hot enamels and stained glass enamels. Brooches were made by means of stamping, trimming and the soldering. On a reverse side of a brooch the ornament is engraved Materials: copper hot enamels stained glass enamels Technology: stamping trimming soldering engraving SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Brooch no 1 (hot enamels) 75mm x 80mm x 10mm, Brooch no 2 (hot enamels) 35mm x45mm x10mm, Brooch no 3 (stained glass enamels) 65mm x50mm x10mm, Brooch no 4 (hot enamels) 65mm x30mm x10mm. TAGS: Brooch, Jewelry, Design, Enamels, Art, Modern Art RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Designer tried to put her impressions from a trip to Asia in these little birds. Inspired by forms found in nature. CHALLENGE: The aspiration to transfer all impressions of travel in a brooch was the most difficult in this project. Designer wanted that each person, looking at the brooches, felt free and open for new adventures.
