| DESIGN NAME: Interiority PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bangle INSPIRATION: Many kinds of geometrical figures UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main goal of this project was to create a perfect harmony with two different materials for jewelry OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This bangle is designed to be worn simply on either wrist. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started and finished in March 2014 in Philadelphia. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Brass plated in gold, Resin. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: IN: 1.307 w x 3.145 d x 3.006 h TAGS: Jewellery, Fashion Jewellery, Bangle, Gold, Transparent, Resin RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: In order to create work that is out of the ordinary, I have been researching combinations of many materials for my jewelry designs, moreover I wanted to prove that not only expensive stones and materials make good jewelry. Therefore, I needed to find an effective method. In my research, I discovered 3D printing technology. NAME: J.M.J PROFILE: Jimin Jung was born in 1990 in the Republic of Korea. He has studied crafts and industrial design in Philadelphia. He began his exploration of jewelry at university. His design philosophy comes from modernism and minimalism. Creating work that is out of the ordinary and proving that not only expensive stones and materials make good jewelry are the significance of his design. |
