| DESIGN NAME: Par 789232 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bar Table INSPIRATION: I was inspired by mathematics as well as great looking organic designs by other artists and creators. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Par 789232 Bar Table was inspired by organic design and it was created by parametric algorithm I created using number 789232 as seed, therefore the design is called Par 789232. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The table is highly balanced thanks to the way the design is formed. Gravity center is carefully positioned near center to make it more stable. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Started in 2013 Minsk, ended in 2014. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Realized by sand cast metal, polished and painted black. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The bar table is 1 meter high, 65 x 65 cm square. TAGS: bar table, bar furniture, parametric table, parametric object RESEARCH ABSTRACT: A parametric algorithm was designed, the table should have four legs, and should have four top supports to carry the glass surface, the object should also be able to be sand cast, i.e. continuous in its nature. CHALLENGE: Since it was created in a parametric way, the greatest challenge was to come up with a seed that resulted in a acceptable and appealing form.
