| DESIGN NAME: REVICOMFORT PRIMARY FUNCTION: Floor tile INSPIRATION: REVICOMFORT revolutionises the concept that a ceramic application has to be cemented, static, unchangeable and permanent. In a single product REVICOMFORT brings together the technical characteristics of full body porcelain tiles (high resistance to use, resistance to stains and chemicals, shock resistance, fire resistance, inalterability, durability and it is easy to clean and maintain), the economic advantages of simplified placement, the time saved on its placement, the ease of mobility, comfortable usage and easy maintenance. Ideal for remodelling. It may be applied on any pre-existing flooring without damaging it. It can also be reused at some other site. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is a full body porcelain floor tile, polymer-encapsulated on the back and on the side edges, neutralizing the rigidity of the flooring and creating the perception of comfort and soundproofing. The tiles are produced by pressing, single-firing and baked at a temperature of between 1210ºC and 1250ºC in accordance with standard NP EN 14411: 2008 BIa. Its water absorption is lower than 0.05%. The polymer is chemically treated using an additive which prevents the development of fungi, moulds and odours. It is available in 30 by 60 cm, 60 by 60 cm and 90 by 90 cm formats, in several Revigrés Porcelain collections, in various effects, colours and surfaces. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: REVICOMFORT is a product which is very simple and easy to use, affording cost savings as it is speedy and easy to lay: it doesn’t need glues, cements nor specialised labour. It doesn’t require cement or specific glues, not generating pollution and works and demolition waste. After it has been laid, it can be used immediately. The parts must be placed side by side; on the back they may slot into a halo which serves as an affixation sucker to the flooring / support. The parts can rest directly on flat, levelled floors or on a structure, creating a chamber which conceals the passage of technical systems and pipes, air-conditioning, etc. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project duration was approximately 1 year. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Full body porcelain tiles with side edges and back (reverse) in polymer. The tiles are produced by pressing, single-firing and baked at a temperature of between 1210ºC and 1250ºC in accordance with standard NP EN 14411: 2008 BIa. Its water absorption is lower than 0.05%. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: REVICOMFORT is a full-body porcelain floor tile for indoor, public or residential areas; removable and reusable. It is available in 30 by 30 cm, 60 by 60 cm and 90 by 90 cm formats, and in rectified, lapped, satined and polished finishes. Technical characteristics: high resistance to use, resistance to stains and chemicals, shock resistance, fire resistance, inalterability, durability and it is easy to clean and maintain.
