| DESIGN NAME: Sheraton Bursa PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hotel INSPIRATION: During the construction, an introductory animation was needed for the visual presentation of the hotel. The animation ought to be a wide-ranged modelling providing guidance to each and every part of the hotel. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Interior design projects of Sheraton Bursa are designed by Atolye A Architecture.Various common areas including the lobby,conference rooms,the main restaurant,the Fitness&Spa Center, the Turkish baths,massage rooms,the executive lounge, the pool,resting rooms and moreover standard rooms,suites,the presidential suite were modeled in 4 months.All modeled areas were turned into a 4.30 seconds animation of 6750 frames after a sixty days render process.This animation became an important element in introducing Sheraton Bursa successfully. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Trials were rendering for Sheraton Bursa animation after process of modelling, mapping, lighting. Rendering scenarios were prepared by story board supervisor. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project duration is 4 months and location is Istanbul. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Movie, Video and Animation Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 6600 render frames were prepared in 3000 hours in the professional render computers which were 16 core xeon processors, 48gb RAM. Project were prepared using 3dsmax, v-ray, autocad. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 4.30 minutes, 6750 frames. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Visualization methods were applied separately for places which will be in the animation in order to appear as real. Therefore, photographs, films which belong to spaces were analysed for each places. For a restaurant, correctly prepared a service plate and for a spa candle, cosmetics, towel were added. CHALLENGE: Places which will be in the animation were generated with the least possible number of polygon. Accessories that complete the places, extended the time of rendering although used v-ray proxy. It is not important for a render frame but it is very important for 6000-7000 render frame.
