PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior
INSPIRATION: It goes without saying that you will feel something special and extraordinary for those who want to become a member and who are willing to use this bar. What’s more, once you start using here, usability and comfort will play a great significance to the operation form. You might find these two aspects mentioned above quite odd, and to give just the right touch, was our challenge.
Indeed, this “two aspects” was the keyword for designing this bar lounge.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This members’ bar lounge targets to the executives who are keen in spending stylish city nights.
Take one step into the reception hall. Warm lights that transmit the stones illuminate customers.
They find themselves reflected in the black-frame-mirrored wall surface, in which they have never seen before. Just by walking through this hall, it has a helpful effect of switching customers’ moods.
Bookshelves occupying the walls look like a luxurious study room neighboring the hotel lounge. From this style, customers will feel the relaxed atmosphere. On the other hand, to make a contrast with the artifacts (books), we set natural rock face as reliefs to offer extraordinary impressions. Furthermore, we chose a luxurious color, champagne gold, to make good balance. We set a custom-made wine cellar (you can see inside from both sides) for dividing the spacious room. We made a see-through boundary to connect the modern space composition and authentic space composition. As for the VIP room tables, our image was to display moments of randomly-cut-wood into a glass case. Woods have the sense of stability and glasses have the brittle impression. When inverting these two designs, we can bring out two aspects of the materials.
Thus, we gave bilateral character to the lounge space and material, by controlling the constitution of the bar. As a result, we were able to create a sophisticated and high-grade bar lounge.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This Cronus is a members' bar, and the place can be known by a member's introduction only. Furthermore, there is a special entrance in a VIP room, and it can go into the room, without meeting a general customers.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Inside the luxurious hotel-like lounge, you can feel the modern taste as well as glamorous and relaxed impressions.In contrast with the books, walls are characterized by displaying natural rock face as reliefs. This design represents the “two aspects” of this bar lounge concept.
Custom-made wine cellar is as high as the ceiling. This divides the spacious lounge yet you can feel the atmosphere of the connecting rooms.
There is also a gorgeous room in the lounge that is composed with an authentic taste. It has a clear define in contrast with the modern room.Our original designed chandelier hung down from the ceiling is made with Swarovski. Unique transmissive light from the half-mirror compose the atmosphere of the open space.Private room has beautiful designs with color unity and relaxed, luxurious atmosphere. Randomly-cut-woods are displayed in the glass case-like table.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Firstly I needed to get to know deeply about membership business.
Then, I became member of all, such as a store of the same system, an association and a reputable hotel. There was also a meaningless thing.
However, I have noticed that there is a key method. Say that the thing made to regard as liking to become a member and the thing which actually becomes a member and it regards as good are not equal to the gap.
As a result, I designed by transposing this method to a design concept called two-aspects. You will see this from the bookshelves, modern and authentic atmosphere, glass table for VIP room, etc. This is to incorporate the concept mentioned above and we have succeeded to maximize the potential of this membership business.
