RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research is set on natural landscape and industrial scenarios. The goal was to design a project that conveys the contemporary dominance of nature by industry. The methodology employed relied on natural parks inspection along with industrial settings. From these, a portfolio of photos, videos and sketches was set to inspire and reason the project. The research was conducted collectively at all stages by all team members. The final output was the transformation of all information gathered into an early sketch of the project that led to the final design.
The impact of the item comes from its design along with materials chosen and its interaction, that reflects both the underlying research along with the functionality intended.
The research also intends to inspire other projects that reflect the marriage between answering functional needs along with social reasoning.
CHALLENGE: The challenge came from the use of a metal embrace. Deep thought and project research was put in place to achieve the perfect interaction of materials.
