INSPIRATION:
I am inspired the legs of the spider

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
U table is a multifunctional,decorative table that had some fun also. It designed structurally by gathering linear U forms to form a circle. Begining with lines to reach a circle represents the continuity of art. This is not only a table since the U Table offers some other functions that make it usable in many places such as cafe,home,waiting room. A central column holds the U shaped profiles together. This column may be in a simple cylindric form or may look like a statue. A led lightning is placed inside the central column of the table, so the U Table itself serves as a enlightning element in whatever it is placed. The U profiles that are attached to the center of the column in a circular way are also used to carry magazines,newspapers and books. You can also use these profiles as a bookmark and that would be fun. By this function the table would rather be used in cafe as well as living room or waiting room. Moreover the magazines, books etc are not scattered all around the room and no extra lighting element is needed. The U profiles are also decorative as much as they are functional.

The project started in june 2013 in Istanbul/TURKEY

 PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
1cmx1cm stainless steel box profiles are arranged around a cylinderic column forming U shaped profiles. These profiles are flattened before they are attached to the upper side of the column. They had a width of 30 cm and a height of 50 cm. A plexiglass cylinderic column with a diameter of 10 cm that had stainless steel bases at two ends is placed at the central of the table. The U shaped box profiles are attached to these bases. This structure forms stability of the main body. The column had a led lightning inside. A plexiglass with a diameter of 70 cm is placed onto the main body and with a thickness of 1 cm is placed onto the mainbody. The plexiglass is attached to the cylindric column with a central nich of 10,5 cm diameter. A space of 10 cm between the hanging newspapers and the plexiglass in order not to harm these reading materials.
