A modern look with the DNA of the Glastrons from the 70s and 80s glory Days. These boats are the romiest in its class. Also bring back the unique spear design. Also using a molded in swim platform, rather than a outside mounted. Gauges and dash is special design for these GT, GTS, GTL line from Zolland Design SWEDEN OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Very usable family sport boats, with a modern edge. Made for family use with large swim platform and safe riding with high freeboard PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: first sketches 2011 and continuing FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The 2013 and 2014 new designs are Rolling out and displays at boat shows all ower the World now and all 2014 SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Ranges from 5 meters o 7,60 meters TAGS: boat, boat design,sporty,speed, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research was done to understand Glastron herritage and history, in search for their true DNA. Made in 3D and then transfered to CAD, and ready consumer product CHALLENGE: The hardest task was to blend the signature design elements and make them in a modern/retro blend. NAME: Glastron boats PROFILE: Glastron boats MI USA Glastron is a boat manufacturing company and was one of the first manufacturers of fiberglass boats. Founded in Texas by Bob Hammond in 1956, the company was sold to Genmar Holdings in the 1990s and manufacturing was moved to Minnesota.[citation needed] Glastron is known for its boat hull design innovations, including the Aqualift and "SSV" hull designs, the latter of which is still in use today. |
