DESIGN NAME: Risky Trailer
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Mobile Shop
INSPIRATION: Seeking the inspiration for our pop up shop we reach the roots of polish motorization. We re-interpretated shape of of famous trailer N126 attached to the Fiat 126p. In our childhood we used to travel it with whole the families. Risky family built it from early beginning using completely other material: pipes that we used in Risky Shop as well. We gave it futuristic touch and realized fantastic vision followed by precise realization
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Risky Trailer is mobile, transforming, multifunctional, interactive, trailer with function of pop-up shop created for fashion brand: Risk Made In Warsaw. It is also one of a kind light installation and city sculpture. It refers to the iconic shape of polish N126 trailer designed in 1974, but it is built from early beginning. It has extendable frame and transforms to the form of huge rack for risky wear
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Trailer equiped with a lot of accesories is independent and ready to be attached to every car with tow hook. Just choose pleasnt environment for risky party and travel there to fix the event, exhibition or fashion show. Gather real people and have fun with risky collection of fresh ideas. During the night it is beautiful light installation called "Ghost of Niewiadow" - name of the city it was manufactured in 1974. During the day, after events, it plays the role of city sculpture, nobody can miss it
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The launch of the trailer was in July 2013 during Heineken Open'er Festival in Gdynia/Poland. It played great as a neighbor of Pawel Althamer's art installation.
Since then it travels from from fair to fashion weeks, participates in events and Vistula river happenings and garden parties. The most exciting is to see reaction of hundreds people on the streets and in the cars/buses when trailer is traveling along Poland and in Europe next season.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In order to emphasize graphic shape of iconic design we used steel pipes. They are gently bent and welded. Whole frame is transparent and has 10 movable parts with different functions: display window, desk, fitting room, mirror and roof with graphic/logo "board" of risky girls. Trailer has sentimental touch exactly like risky clothes. It takes original parts from 70's-90's: back lights, box for utensils, oldschool wheels plus industrial steampunk touch: old neon glass tubes and ball lamp. It is registered and easy to travel

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Girls running Risk Made In Warsaw wanted to have opportunity to sell everywhere. The solution was to make mobile store, a little bit sentimental, but also looking like from the future. Risky trailer is hand made sculpture or light installation. It is transparent but fully functional, movable and transformable. It doesn't need many tools to build it during fairs, no need to have many workers to fix. It is easy to travel, has a great performance, many functions and makes people smiling.
CHALLENGE: Main challenges: to prolong the philosophy of risky shop, where we used sculptural shapes of pipes ; to create the shape of original trailer from 70's, but made of steel pipes; to make it transformable and extendable in order to add few new functions ; to save clear, aesthetic graphic line with no screws, no joints, no visible connecting rods - that is why all the mechanism based on bearings are hidden in the pipes; to construct independent mobile pop-up shop, registered and aimed to travel everywhere
