| DESIGN NAME: House of the Future PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Portable House INSPIRATION: Thinking of ways on using a different rational for optimizing spaces, leveraging its value-for-money and sustainable approach. Creative design solutions reuses the same space for different activities, transforming it in multiple living areas. Globalization has migrated people in and out of cities and countries. Mobility starts being a concept not only for electronic devices but also for commercial sites and why not houses. Imagine you can take your office or house to anywhere. A totally new way of looking at crossing frontiers. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project has been designed to enable clients the possibility to change layouts, switch living elements according to mood and occasion, adapt different needs at a touch of a button. This only happen due to the use of state-of-the-art technology integrated with mobile devices. The House not only accommodates you but moves with you whenever you need. Proposes rethinking the concepts of home, where living well is not measured by the size of the house but by the functionality of its spaces. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Remote control though mobile devices such as: smartphones, mobile phones, tablets, notebooks connects with the center control system that operates appliances, furniture, heating systems, alarm systems, lighting systems and CATTV monitoring. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project started in early 2012 in Porto Alegre, Brazil and was exhibited in several Design and Architecture events such as Casa Cor Porto Alegre, Casa Cor Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo Design Week, Pense Imoveis Salon. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Green certified wood frame modules, integrated with certified raw materials, renewable energy systems with photovoltaic panels, rain water colecting systems drains, power saving eletronic appliances, LED lighting, Solar heating water system. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 5,5m Width x 7,5m Depth X 3,0m Height TAGS: Portable house, multi-functional living spaces, eco-friendly, design, state-of-the-art technology, sustainable, mobility RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research was based on field research, client feedback and network during International fairs and design events, studies done abroad in International design schools plus gathering of analysis and experiences lived within International trips, linking real estate trends and outcomes in different cities. NAME: BGA Arq&Design- Itinerant Structures PROFILE: Bachelor in Architecture and Urbanism at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS - Brazil, 2002), with Master in Interior Design from Florence Design Academy (Firenze - Italy, 2004) and MBA in Management and Marketing from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM, Brazil, 2006). The architect has been working for 10 years with furniture design, residential and commercial architecture, and has participated actively throughout her career in various national and international exhibitions at the area. Known for her innovative designs, she has already won several national awards. She has offices in the cities of Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre, Brazil. |
