| DESIGN NAME: Cinetic sconce PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lighting INSPIRATION: The third in a series of objects that apply the principles of kinetic art to furniture design its plastic quality and rigor in the execution are two of its main distinguishing points The steel is fully recyclable ie once it reaches the end of a long useful life it can still be recovered and reused infinite times in line with concept of movement UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: the Cinetic sconce proposes essentially to freely appropriate itself of sections of walls or floors in residential or corporate settings by installing sets of lights which in addition to illuminatin add an artistic dimension to spaces Although perfectly viable its use as a unique piece is just optional Its three dimensionality never repeats itself thanks to an exclusive welding process that joins small sections of 1mm stainless steel sheeting, laser cut The translucent faces in turn are defined by brushed glass The fixtures before the light bulbs fluorescent socket fitted and electrical connectors weigh no more than 750grams OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in january 2010 in São Paulo and finished in january 2012 in São Paulo FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Lighting Products and Fixtures Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: joins small sections of 1mm stainless steel sheeting, laser cut. The translucent faces, in turn, are defined by brushed glass. The fixtures, before the light bulbs (fluorescent, socket fitted) and electrical connectors weigh no more than 750grams.
