| DESIGN NAME: Beyond the head PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hairstick and necklace INSPIRATION: My inspiration came from personal interest in hair jewelry. It's nice to have a beautiful piece of jewelry that we could pass on from generation to generation and thereby add more sentimental value. Why hair jewelry? Hair has always been a symbol of femininity and why not to refine it with a little elegance. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main idea is to use precious metal and distinctive design to make this type of jewelry which further development has stuck. This hairstick design represent creative power of the female. Twisted horns indicates spark and beauty as a profound symbol what is above the head. This hairstick, made of silver, is comfortable to use in everyday life to achieve great look and it has a multifunctional side to transform it into a necklace, so it can be used in the evening events. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This hairstick is multifunctional and it can be transformed into a necklace. The stick is detachable from the center and after separation, it reveals a chain that connects these two parts into a necklace. Current busy lifestyle favors the pieces that can be used all day according to the needs. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2012 in Tartu Estonia and finished in February 2013. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The hairstick is made of silver and zircons. This piece of jewelry is purely hand made. The surface finishing is done with old engraveing technique.
