| DESIGN NAME: Centopéia PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bench, table INSPIRATION: Centipede, insect, Brazilian tropical forest, red colour, random design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Inspired by the nature, the Centopéia Bench/Table ( Centipede in english) was designed to imitate the real life with the idea of a moving insect. We found inspiration in an animal typical from our Brazilian tropical forest. The Centipede, as such an exotic animal, was perfect for what we were looking for, creating a funny object. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was developed during summertime 2012. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Was produced in wood, all the legs with the same dimensions, painted before assemblage and connected to the handmade wooden top.
