| DESIGN NAME: Design Milk PRIMARY FUNCTION: Online Magazine INSPIRATION: Design Milk began when Founder Jaime Derringer was unhappy with where her career was headed, and felt the need for a creative outlet. Having just bought a home., she began using Design Milk as a place to bookmark all of her favorite furniture finds while shopping on the Internet. Quickly, Design Milk expanded to other areas because Jaime found herself discovering so much more talent and amazing art and design. As the site grew, her motivation focused less on herself and more on the designers she was finding; she enjoyed promoting their work and helping them gain more exposure in the design world. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Design Milk is an online magazine dedicated to modern design that covers a broad range of areas including architecture, home furnishings, art, technology, and fashion. Our highly curated and hand-picked designs and our original features, such as our weekly designer interviews, product process articles, and creative regular postings attract millions of readers from around the world.
