| DESIGN NAME: Ese PRIMARY FUNCTION: Rocking Chair INSPIRATION: Opposite tangents drawn from opposite side from a perfect circle. This design started from random geometrical shapes I was drawing in Autocad. The mentioned drawing was the spark that gave shape to this idea. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The shape of the chair is a perfect letter S, so if you rotate it 180 degrees it will maintain its same shape while using another upholstery colour or design, depending on your mood. In order not to see the sratched wood of the arm rests surfice (due to continuous rotantion of the chair) a folding are rest is always used so that one can never see that inevitable detail. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The way we use this furniture is really simple. Depending on our mood, we can use the rocking chair one way or the other. All one must do to change the mood of the enviroment, is just unhook the arm rest protector, rotate the chair 180 degrees and rehook the arm rest protector again and that´s it. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in January 2012 in Montevideo and finished in february of 2012 in Montevideo. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
